1. Agreement

By creating an account or using GrantEasy ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

2. The Service

GrantEasy is an AI-assisted grant writing tool. It generates draft grant proposal content based on information you provide. Drafts are a starting point: you are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all content before submitting it to any funder. GrantEasy does not guarantee that any proposal will be funded.

3. Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

(a) use the Service to create false, misleading, or fraudulent grant applications; (b) misrepresent your organization or its activities to funders; (c) attempt to bypass usage limits, resell access, or abuse the AI generation features; (d) interfere with the Service's operation or attempt unauthorized access to it or to other users' data.

5. Plans, billing, and cancellation

Free accounts include limited usage. Paid subscriptions ($29/month or $290/year) are billed through our payment partner Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record. You can cancel anytime from your billing page; access continues until the end of the paid period. See our Refund Policy for refunds.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the information you provide and the proposals you create. You grant GrantEasy a limited license to process this content solely to operate the Service (including sending it to our AI provider to generate drafts). We do not sell your content or use it to train our own models.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by GrantEasy. These terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or software beyond normal use of the Service.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. GrantEasy is not a substitute for professional grant-writing, legal, or financial advice.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GrantEasy shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost funding opportunities. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
